Coal Harbour is an area that is part of Burrard Inlet and is bordered by Stanley Park. Coal Harbour has been redeveloped to become a commercial area, after The Great Vancouver Fire of 1886. Coal Harbour was not originally filled with branded stores and tall apartments. Before the 1990s Coal Harbour was mainly an industrial area. Instead of the seawall and bike lanes, there would be rail yards, wharves, boathouses, marine service shake, and much more.
