Yaletown RoundhouseThe Roundhouse opened in 1846 when Mayer MacLean made an offer to the CPR (Canadian Pacific Railway). MacLean and the council offererd to the company a 20-year exemption from taxes! The condition was they had to be willing to build rail yards and repair facilities on the north shore of false creek. The company agreed and everyone moved from Yale in Fraser Canyon to the new “Yaletown” Then the Roundhouse was built along with new facilities at the site to repair the steam machines.

Yaletown Brewing CompanyThe Yaletown Brewing Company is the original brewpub of Yaletown. Founded in 1944, it was built with the idea of a neighbourhood pub that was welcoming no matter who you are. It has been voted “Best Brewpub” in Canada several times and wins the Readers’ Choice Award for “Best in Vancouver” every year.

Blue Water CafeThe Blue Water Cafe serves Japanese-style seafood and is located in one of the old warehouses found along Hamilton street. The restaurant is consistently named “Best Seafood Restaurant” in Vancouver.
